What you need

Battery
- On the bottom of the device handle, you will find a button on the left side. Press and hold this button.

- While holding the button, slide the battery out of the device.
- If the battery needs replacing, you can find one on the Shark website.

Pre-Motor Filter
- On the body of the device you will find there is a large grey button on the side of the dust cup.
- Pressing this button will release the dust cup from the body of the device.
- Empty the dust cup if the device has already been in use.

- Under the dust cup you will find that there is a white pre-motor filter. Remove this filter.

Post-Motor Filter
- You will find the post-motor filter in the device under where the dust cup was.
- The post-motor filter can be easily removed now.
- Clean the filter with soap and water.
- Examine your filter for any damage, and if you find any you can buy a replacement on the Shark website.
