              Singular Cylinder Kwikset Deadbolt               
  • Turn the lock clockwise until two screws are visible.

  • Remove both screws from the lock cylinder using a Phillips #3 screwdriver.

  • Remove the lock cylinder from the door.

  • Remove the pin and key cylinder from both of the secondary and primary support cylinders.

  • Remove the secondary support cylinder from the primary support cylinder.

  • Remove the primary cylinder support from the door.

  • Remove both of the 3/4 inch screws from the face of the latch mechanism using a Phillips #3 screwdriver.

  • Remove the latch mechanism with the latch face from the door.

  • Insert the new latch mechanism with the latch face in the door. A capital letter “A” should face upward in the latch face.

  • Reinsert both of the screws in the latch face using a Phillips #3 screwdriver.

  • Insert the primary support cylinder in the door.

  • Insert the secondary support cylinder in the door.

  • Insert the new lock cylinder in the door by aligning the lock with the pin of the key cylinder.
