Removing top panel

Remove gear belt
- This is difficult for some people, don’t be surprised if you cant get it out, ESPECIALLY if the gears are rusted.

Remove panel covering the wiring
- this has six screws, for some you need to look a little harder, and some are out in the open

Remove sandpaper roller
- this piece is on the other side of the device, and has two deep screws.

Remove opposite side cover
- half of the handle is part of this cover.

if you need to, remove the wiring from the motor
- this is where i had to stop, i do not have a press. you can add to this if you know how to disassemble it from here and have a press to put it back together after you are done.

Where do i put the spring thats about an inch long as when i goto replace the roller

Spring (54) sits vertically in a hole of the plastic base support (32). If you zoom in on the parts diagram, you can actually see this tiny notch in the base support just to the left of the spring. It puts a small amount of pressure on the metal plate of the roller (844), from underneath the metal platen of the belt surface (48).
I had trouble with that too.

Skil Sander is good, but my all-time favorite Belt Sander is Dewalt dwe6411k https://bestbeltsander.org/dewalt/dwe641… …. Really, I like this brand sanding process.

My sander belt stopped tracking. The belt rolls off.
How do I adjust for this
