  • Power off the tablet.
  • Unplug the tablet from the power source if it is connected.

  • Remove the (4) 3.5mm screws using a phillips #000 screwdriver.

  • Use the plastic opening tool to work your way around the tablet, releasing the back case from the tabs.

  • Release the back case from the rest of the tablet with your hand.
  • Do not pry the case too hard; doing so can damage the tablet.

              Antenna               
  • Remove the metallic electrical tape, just enough, to allow the antenna to hang freely.
  • Remove all black and yellow tape, if necessary, on the motherboard.

Step 6

  • Remove the soldered connections to separate the antenna wire from the motherboard.
  • The antenna wire will be connected to the motherboard with 2 connections, so be sure to remove both with the soldering iron.

  • Soldering irons require a large amount of heat; use caution when performing this step. Excessive heat can damage parts of your device; do not leave the soldering iron on connections for extended periods of time.

  • Remove the antenna from the tablet using a pair of tweezers.
  • The antenna is actually fastened inside the back case of the tablet, pull gently to free it from the adhesive.
