  • Power off the tablet.
  • Unplug the tablet from the power source if it is connected.

  • Remove the (4) 3.5mm screws using a phillips #000 screwdriver.

  • Use the plastic opening tool to work your way around the tablet, releasing the back case from the tabs.

  • Release the back case from the rest of the tablet with your hand.
  • Do not pry the case too hard; doing so can damage the tablet.

Step 5

              Speaker
  • Remove the soldered connections to separate the speaker wires from the motherboard.
  • Remove all black and yellow tape, if necessary, on the motherboard.
  • Following the red and black wires, coming out of the speaker, to their respective connections on the motherboard will indicate where to solder.

  • Soldering irons require a larger amount of heat; use caution when performing this step. Excessive heat can damage parts of your device; do not leave the soldering iron on connections for extended periods of time.

  • This will not require much force, prying from the flat side of the speaker will do the job.
