  • Power off device. Place it face down. Unscrew the 4 perimeter screws, using a PH000 screwdriver from iFixit kit

Step 2

  • Using a plastic opening tool or metal spudger, begin to gently pry the rear case down and away from the display.Slowly wiggle the tool up and down to pry open the tablet.Once the rear case is fully removed place it to the side.

Step 3

  • Using tweezers carefully remove tape that is holding the black and red intertwined cables to the motherboard. Place tape to the side as is will be needed for reassembly.

  • Remove the 2 screws holding the speaker to the front panel. Use a PH000 screwdriver from iFixit kit. Place the screws to the side as they will be needed for reassembly.

Step 5

  • Use the metal spudger to remove the speaker from the front panel of the tablet.

  • Disconnect black and red intertwined wire from the motherboard.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
