Introduction
Filter for USB humidifier should be changed every 2-3 months. Not only this maintenance helps users avoid respiratory illness, it can also prolong the device’s lifespan by improving mist quality and prevent mold from blocking the outlet.
Follow this guide to replace the filter for SmartDevil Snow Mountain Humidifier (model GXZ-J623). If your USB Humidifier uses a cotton filter, this guide can also be applied to yours.
What you need

Cotton Filter
- Unscrew the tank cap counterclockwise to open the humidifier.
- Pour out all the water to avoid the smell.

- Slightly twist the filter compartment counterclockwise until it clicks.
- Pull the filter compartment out.

- Take the cotton filter and the spring metal out of the compartment.
- Be sure not to lose the metal spring in the compartment.

- Take a new cotton filter. Cut the new filter equal to the length of the compartment.
- If your cotton filter’s length is equal to the length of the compartment, skip this step.

Step 5
- Soak the new cotton filter in mineral water or tap water for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Avoid using pure water or distilled water to prevent clogging on the mist outlet.

- Place the metal spring at the bottom of the compartment.
- Insert the new cotton filter into the compartment, put the new filter on top of the metal spring.

- Plug the compartment to the tank cap. Slightly twist the compartment clockwise to lock it.

- Use a cotton swab to clean dust and mold on the mist outlet.

- Fill the tank with water and close the tank cap.

Where do I get a replacement cotton filter?

I have 3 of these, 1 pumps out the perfect amount of humidity and last about 20 hours but 2 of them pump out waaay too much! They empty in 8 hours. Is there a way to slow them down? The slower one is absolutely perfect I would like them all the same. Help please
