Introduction
In this guide, you’ll learn how to soft reset your HTC Fortress. This technique requires some dismantling of the device, and use of the stylus.
Step 1
Soft Reset
- Slide the back cover of the device upward. You may need to remove the phone stylus first.
- Take off the back cover.

- Locate the red “reset” button on the side of the phone directly opposite of the volume up button.
- Press the reset button with the phone stylus or any other small object. Your phone will now reset.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
